Yesteryear Collection

UEFA Euro 1996 was a major international football tournament held in England from 8 to 30 June 1996, featuring 16 national teams.
To manage the event, police forces across the UK worked together to provide crowd control and maintain public order, with a strong emphasis on intelligence sharing to prevent disorder and football-related hooliganism.
As part of these national efforts, officers from the British Transport Police were deployed to support wider policing operations, assisting local forces and contributing to public safety during the tournament.
